Consumption Evidence Tracking Cocktails Summer 2025
For several years, Ipsos Doxa (formerly known as BVA Doxa) has been conducting a tracking
study to monitor trends in alcoholic cocktail consumption.
Specifically, two waves are conducted each year, involving approximately 1,800-2,000 people
each. The target group interviewed consists of men and women aged 18-55, distributed across
the entire national territory, who have consumed at least one alcoholic cocktail in the three
months prior to the interview.
In the latest survey, conducted in September-October 2025, it emerged that the Aperol Spritz
is the cocktail with the highest percentage of people reporting having consumed it in the past
three months: 45% of respondents.
In second place is the Gin Tonic and Mojito with a 24% share.
Aperol Spritz also turns out to be the cocktail with the highest percentage of people indicating
it as their “favorite cocktail”: 25% of the total respondents.
In this case as well, the closest followers are Mojito and Gin Tonic, gathering 9% and 8% of
respondents, respectively, who indicate them as their “favourite cocktail.”
The data is collected through the following questions:
“Which of the following cocktails have you consumed in the last 3 months?”
“What is your favorite cocktail?”
Each respondent is shown the cocktails they indicated they know from a list of over 40.
